Trail Tales

Home to the Region's largest snowmobile club, The Sault Trailblazers, the area around Sault Ste. Marie and Searchmont has numerous trail riding opportunities that allow riders to stray from the main trail and visit some of the local hangouts. Seeing that it is just over the International Bridge, this area also serves as the perfect staging area for a tour through Algoma. Why drive by truck and trailer where trails can take you? Public and private staging areas are conveniently located in the Sault, Heyden and Searchmont where vehicles and trailers can await your return. The City Loop trail definitely connects the big city with some of Algoma's most laid back areas in Searchmont, Heyden and Goulais River. Primarily on forest access roads, trails in the area wind through some of the most rugged terrain in the Province and provide some great scenery and a full book of stories.
